Stonebridge is one of Saskatoon's newest communities. It is located in the Southern end of Saskatoon, South of Highway 11 (Circle Dr). Construction of Stonebridge began in 2005, including the Stonegate Shopping Centre. The community is growing at an extremely rapid pace, and is currently expected to be finished several years ahead of schedule. An overpass at Preston Ave and Circle Drive is set to be constructed in 2011 and finished in 2012. This, in addition to the one already constructed at Clarence Ave and Circle Drive, will provide quick and easy access in and out of the neighbourhood.

One of the more alluring aspects of Stonebridge that I find is that since it resides on the opposite side of Circle Drive from the rest of the city, it has a sense of seclusion that other neighbourhoods may not have. It is becoming increasingly self sufficient thanks to the shopping centres already here and constantly being constructed, including a Co-Op grocery, Dairy Queen, and various other amenities.

I enjoy living here because it is a quiet community, with friendly people and a great Community Association (http://www.ourstonebridge.ca/) that holds meetings at the Circle Drive Alliance Church on the second Wednesday of every month. There is no shortage of parks and walkways for an evening stroll or to walk your pet.

Stonebridge is a great community for any age group, With a lot to look forward to in the coming years. If you're looking for a great place to live, take a drive to Stonebridge.

We couldn't be happier about living in Stonebridge. The location is great - with Circle Drive so close we can get to most places in the city within 15 minutes, and many locations such as downtown or Circle & 8th Mall are within 10 minutes. It's a quiet neighborhood with a lot of families, which lets us take walks well after dark while feeling completely safe.

Being one of the newest neighborhoods, Stonebridge is constantly growing. At the moment the large, central park is underway which we expect to be a major advantage come summer. There's also a Co-op grocery store planned for 2011, and depending on when you read this review there's probably even more on the way.

We tend to gush about our location, so to be fair I'll mention one small flaw: the train tracks flank the south end so some houses can hear it quite well whenever one of the fairly frequent trains passes by. We no longer notice, but more sensitive people may want to find a lot nearer the north end of the neighborhood.

Living in Stonebridge is easy to recommend, in fact, we've already convinced one of our friends to move here.
