The government’s plan to reduce corporate income tax on profits generated through the development of new rental properties are being met with praise from the real estate industry. The site of the 100 year old Bethany Manor has been cleared of the old building and will soon be home to a new City Park condominium project. A story in this morning’s Star Phoenix says that the wind turbine that had been previously approved by Saskatoon city council for construction has been scrapped.Only one bid was received to build the controversial 120-metre turbine, and that bid was $1.35 million more than the budget allotted for the project.
