The English program at Sister O'Brien School in Silverwood Heightswill continue for at least another year despite declining enrollment. The number of students enrolled in the English program fell below 100 in 2009 and is expected to decline to 81 in 2010. Between 2005 and 2009, enrollment in the French program has grown from 120 to 176.
Board chair, Dianne Boyko told the Star Phoenix, "I think the most important thing is about community. That school is a good school and parents are happy to have their children there, they believe in the programming that occurs there. It is their community school."
