Welcome to the Haultain Area of Saskatoon
As a south-central Saskatoon neighbourhood, Haultain offers easy access to the University of Saskatchewan campus and all that downtown Saskatoon has to offer. Located just south of 8th Street, some might even find these destinations to be a manageable walk on a pleasant day.
The area is primarily residential and a good two-thirds of the homes that were built here are single-family detached houses with the balance an almost even split between detached duplexes and low rise apartments. Over fifty percent of the development occurred before 1960 and it's not unusual to see some modern day infill activity happening now.
Haultain has just one school, École Canadienne-Française. English speaking elementary school students in both systems attend schools in neighbouring communities, traveling to them by bus.
The area has a small amount of green space compared to more recent local developments but there's no shortage of activities available in the six-acre W.W. Ashley Park where residents enjoy baseball, basketball and outdoor soccer facilities, a playground, walking paths, a paddling pool, and Lathey Pool.
