Welcome to the Wildwood Area of Saskatoon
Wildwood is located towards the southeast end of Saskatoon. It shares its southern border with Lakeview, it's eastern border with Briarwood, its western boundary with Brevoort Park, and College Park is Wildwood's neighbour to the north. The area has a large population of around 8000 people in close to 3500 households. Nearly half of those homes are low-rise apartments and condominiums which are primarily concentrated to the east side of the area. Single-family homes, semi-detached properties, and town homes are largely constructed on streets and crescents that surround a central park area that is home to Bishop Pocock School and Wildwood School.
Wildwood is somewhat larger geographically than most Saskatoon neighbourhoods, and consequently, it has some great amenities to offer including a major shopping centre called The Centre, a lovely par three public golf course, a civic centre with an indoor pool and skateboard park, plus over seventy acres of public park space. Across the various parks, you'll find baseball, basketball and soccer facilities. There's a paddling pool, an outdoor ice rink, numerous creative playgrounds, a couple of hills that are great for tobogganing and several kilometres of walking paths that lead you through some of Saskatoon's prettiest scenery. The walk through Lakewood Park and Heritage Park is breathtaking.
Single-family starter homes can occasionally be found for as much as ten percent below the average selling price for a Saskatoon home with selection getting much better at ten to twenty percent above the average.
